Biography and career
Felix Evtushenkov was born in 1978 in Moscow. His father is Vladimir Yevtushenkov, the founder of the Sistema joint-stock financial corporation.
In an interview, Felix Yevtushenkov said that he "lived in the most ordinary Moscow apartment, went to the most ordinary Moscow school."
From an early age, he was fond of active sports. For several years he attended the hockey section. At the age of 15 he started wrestling. He also competed in alpine skiing.
Education in the field of jurisprudence received at the Institute. Griboyedov in 2000. The Institute is known for its strong faculty at Faculty of Law.
He mastered the specialty "manager of the oil and gas sector" in 2013, after graduating from the State University of Oil and Gas. Gubkin.
Even during his studies, Felix Yevtushenkov began working in his father's company. At the same time, according to memoirs of colleagues, he meticulously immersed himself in projects on which he could often work at odd hours. He did not use the fact that he is the son of the head, along with everyone else, he was in line for an appointment with Vladimir Yevtushenkov.
In the structures of the AFC, he held a number of positions, in particular:
- Assistant to the Head of CJSC Sistema-Invest;
- Executive Director of the Industry Department of Sistema JSFC;
- a number of senior positions at Sistema-Hals OJSC (construction and development);
- Vice President and First Vice President of OJSC Sistema (supervised projects related to consumer and underlying assets);
- head of a corporation's investment portfolio, which included high-tech assets.
Also in 2018, he joined the Board of Directors of AFK, and today he is a senior managing partner of the corporation.
Development of MTS PJSC
In 2019, Felix Yevtushenkov headed the Board of Directors of one of Sistema's most important assets — MTS PJSC (the corporation owns 49.9% shares of one of the three largest mobile operators in Russia).
Engaged in the strategic development of the technology business, he paid special attention to investing in start-ups and new promising areas of the brand's digital ecosystem. Among them:
- KonnektU CDP-platform;
- TalkBank messenger bank;
- Academy of Change educational platform;
- Airo home service service ;
- 5G labs for testing and refining new products;
- KION online cinema.
In general, Felix Yevtushenkov managed to transform Mobile TeleSystems from a telecom operator into one of the leaders of the domestic IT market in a short time (only in 2020, profit from implemented digital and cloud services increased by a quarter).
Comparable in scale growth (23%) was shown by investments in the modernization of the company's digital infrastructure - more than 180 billion rubles for the period from 2019 to 2021. This, in particular, allowed MTS to conclude more than four dozen contracts for the digitalization of cities and federal subjects of the Russian Federation by the end of 2021.
In the same year, the jump in revenue growth from MTS data center and cloud services was 95%.
2021 has become a breakthrough for the company in many ways. So, according to its results, the IT giant took the first position in the list of the most active venture investors in the country (according to the TMT Investments fund and the Russian Venture TG channel). A striking example here is the domestic food ordering service Bartello, which is already available in many cities. More than 70 million rubles were invested in this project by the MTS venture fund.
Today, MTS is one of the Russian leaders in investing in startups.
Education has become another area of activity of MTS. Thus, in collaboration with the SKOLKOVO School of Management, the Digital Technologies in Business program was launched.
The company was also the initiator of the social project competition Social Idea. In 2001, its laureates received 1.5 million rubles from MTS PJSC for the implementation of socially oriented startups using IT solutions[1].< /p>
In the Sistema Charitable Foundation
Occupying high positions in the structures of the AFC, Felix Yevtushenkov has always been an interested supporter of promoting the development of social processes in society, strengthening the education sector and implementing various charitable projects. In 2018, he took over as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the (BF) Sistema Charitable Foundation. This non-profit structure has existed since 2004 as an operator of social activities of AFK companies.
Felix Yevtushenkov identified the introduction of innovations as one of the key priorities in the work of the Charitable Foundation, the purpose of which is to overcome existing social problems.
The fund's main investment areas are[2]:
- the latest technologies;
- education and professional development;
- support for volunteer movements;
- cultural and educational initiatives;
- social projects.
In 2020, the fund's development strategy was updated for a period of three years. Within its framework, a number of projects have been developed.
Lift to the Future Program
In accordance with the new strategy, at the initiative of Felix Yevtushenkov, in the pandemic year of 2020, the BF’s flagship career guidance program, which has existed for more than 10 years, “Lift to the Future, was restarted ". The emphasis in the new conditions was placed on the current mass demand for hybrid learning formats.
The work of an online platform has been launched, designed for a wide audience - from high school students to already working professionals striving for career growth (the age range of the target audience is from 17 to 24 years old). The EdTech solution is also designed to remove the problem of choosing the wrong professional path.

Odyssey Contest
As Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Charitable Foundation, Felix Yevtushenkov supported the idea of holding the Odyssey competition in 2018, the task of which was to support the best technological solutions for search and rescue of people in the natural environment.
In Russia, from 100 to 180 thousand people go missing every year, of which over 50 thousand are minors. A significant part of the people is lost in the forests. Most often these are fishermen, hunters, mushroom pickers, children and pensioners. To save people, the time factor and the availability of advanced technical solutions are crucial.
Experts from organizations such as LizaAlert and Sova were involved in the Odyssey project. More than a thousand entrepreneurs, development engineers and students became participants.
According to the results of the competition, the decisions of the winning teams were supported by grants from the foundation. And mentors and experts from AFC helped young engineers turn their developments into a profitable social business.
Awards
In 2020, the entrepreneur and philanthropist became a holder of the Order of Friendship.
